The Banquet Captain is responsible for supervising and assisting with the set-up service and clean-up of all assigned banquet functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required. High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of hotel banquet food/beverage service
• College course work in related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
• Able to read, speak, and write English
• Able to lift, push, carry 20-30 lbs.

ESTUDIOS Y EXPERIENCIA

• requiere por lo menos 1 año de experiencia progresiva en un hotel o campo relacionado. Se requiere un diploma de escuela superior o su equivalente.
• Dos años de experiencia en banquetes en hotel y servicio de comida y bebida
• Sería útil haber estudiado en la universidad algo relacionado con el campo.
• Se prefiere experiencia anterior como supervisor.
• Certificado para Servir/vender Alcohol (debe cumplir con requisitos del Estado)
• Abilidad de leer, hablar, y escribir el inglés
• Abilidad de levantar, empujar, cargar 20-30 libras de peso

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
• Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness Food Handlers Safety etc.
• Maintain friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
• Inspect the set-up of meeting and banquet functions checking them against the Banquet Event Order.
• Other duties as required.

OBLIGACIONES Y RESPONSABILIDADES DEL PUESTO DE TRABAJO

• Acercarse a todos los encuentros con huéspedes y empleados de manera simpática y con orientación servicial.
• Cumplir con los requisitos de asistencia al trabajo en cumplimiento con los estándares de Aimbridge Hospitality según requerido por el horario de trabajo el cual cambiará con las necesidades del hotel.
• Mantener criterios altos parta el acicalado y la apariencia personal lo cual incluye el vestir el uniforme correcto y la chapa con el nombre mientras esté de turno (basado en normas de marca)
• Cumplir en todo momento con las normas y reglamentos de Aimbridge Hospitality para alentar operaciones de trabajo seguras y eficientes.
• Cumplir con los requisitos de certificación aplicables a la posición incluyendo Certificado para Servir Alcohol Certificado para Manejar Alimentos Seguridad etc.
• Mantener un comportamiento simpático y caluroso en todo momento.
• Inspeccionar los arreglos para reuniones y funciones de banquetes y corroborarlos contra la Orden para Evento de Banquetes.
• Otros deberes según requerido.
