Job Summary

The Uniform Room Supervisor is responsible for all the uniform operations for The Windsor Court. This role will oversee the constant supply of clean uniforms for team members to maintain a well-groomed appearance. He/ she will supervise all stages of uniform processing, including but not limited to inventory, sorting, repairing, altering, assigning, ironing, folding, storing, and delivering.

Responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Previuos supervisor experience needed.
  • Previous industrial sewing experience required.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the service standards.
  • Uniform room and/or laundry experience preferred.
  • Good organization skills for tracking uniform inventory.
  • Accept laundry from team members, verify, count and inventory what was collected.
  • Operation of different types of equipment (i.e. dry cleaning machine washing machine phone dryer presser etc.).
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.
  • Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security e.g. Product safety labels and emergency instructions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluates operations to ensure proper uniform practices are being followed.
  • Receive and issue all uniforms. Issue all uniforms on an exchange basis only in order to maintain uniform control. Store old uniforms until otherwise directed by managment.
  • Wash and Iron Team members and guest clothing.
  • Accept laundry from team members verify count and inventory what was collected.
  • Prepare dry cleaning and laundry lists. Send and receive dry cleaning and laundry for processing.
  • Press Shower curtains and banquets skirting if needed.
  • Sew on buttons and make minor repairs to uniforms.
  • Make repairs to linens and bedspreads as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned such as assisting other staff in laundry or housekeeping department.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
