The Holiday Inn Grand Rapids is looking to bring on a new Breakfast Server to our team!  This role is responsible for providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner within the complimentary breakfast area of a hotel. In addition this individual shall be well-versed on the hotel-brand standards guest expectations and the and unique characteristics of the hotel and local area.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and serve guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, anticipating needs to enhance their experience.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality standards, including uniform and grooming requirements.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of menus, tables, and service areas.
  • Stock and maintain bar and food service areas; perform side work duties such as dishwashing, restocking, and cleaning.
  • Communicate special guest requests and VIP information with relevant departments.
  • Handle cashiering duties, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Stay knowledgeable about hotel services, menu items, and local attractions.
  • Follow opening/closing procedures and attend to any other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience in hospitality.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Legal age to serve alcohol and complete responsible serving certification (e.g., TIPs).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required Food Handler’s card.
  • Capable of making quick, accurate decisions and handling stress professionally.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and ability to prepare specialty drinks.
  • Basic math skills and strong communication abilities.
  • Demonstrates positive, service-oriented attitude with internal and external customers.
