Job Summary

The Yoga Instructor is responsible for providing creative, inviting, and encouraging Mind-Body programming while maintaining a safe and effective learning environment and focusing on providing the best customer service and hospitality to members and guests of the resort.

  

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure classes are of the highest quality of content and safety 
  • Present innovative classes with an emphasis on wellness 
  • Remain open and attentive to the changing wellness needs of the membership 
  • Deliver an exceptional experience to members and guests 
  • Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate 
  • Active participation in events, programs, meetings and training 
  • Represent the property in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response 
  • Schedule varies and requires weekend and holiday hours as scheduled with and by the Spa Director 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION 

  • Minimum two (2) years of group exercise or fitness-related teaching experience 
  • Specialty specific (i.e., Yoga, Pilates, Aqua etc.) certification, as required for format taught 
  • Current American Red Cross CPR/AED certification 
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service abilities 
  • Sales and Marketing -- Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, and sales techniques. 
  • Problem Anticipation/ Deductive Reasoning -- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and then apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems and considers the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. 
  • Oral Comprehension and Expression --Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.

  • Specific vision abilities required but this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
