Recreation Supervisor

The Pool Supervisor assists in overseeing daily operations of a pool in a hotel resort or similar setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Typically requires a high school diploma and 3 or more years of experience.
• May require lifeguard CPR or pool operator certification.
• Knowledge of the field's policies procedures and practices. Leads and directs the work of other employees.
• Typically has some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring performance or disciplinary actions.
• Ability to foster teamwork. Ability to develop and mentor others. 
• Decision-making skills. Problem management. Management skills. Oral communication skills. 
• Customer service skills. Customer service skills. Interpersonal skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees a team of lifeguards and pool or cabana staff during an assigned shift or in the absence of the Pool Manager. 
• Ensures that pool facilities including concession stands pool bar changing rooms and showers are cleaned and maintained in accordance with company standards and safety regulations. 
• Promotes and participates in recreational activities involving the use of the pool.
